WHISPER (Fin) - death metal
Rising from the cavernous depths of Helsinki, WHISPER plays prog- and melodeath-infused old school death metal, offering up a fresh, new, yet still virulently macabre take on a genre that's been rotting for decades. Formed in 2023, the band's two EP's: "Xenogenesis" and "Gravemind" have received praise for their brutal, yet multidimensional approach. Sometimes referred to as "The Finnish Blood Incantation", their soundscape could be best described as classic '90s finnish OSDM atmosphere fused together with an amalgamation of finnish prog, melodic death metal, and more modern cosmic death metal influences. They've gigged diligently across Finland and Estonia, and have opened for acts such as Rippikoulu, Convulse, and Ossuary.
